Me: I wanna try Slax though, sniffy.
Him: and why?
Me: Cause it looks cute! :P
Me: (for all the wrong reasons, I know)
Him: it has kde as well!
Me: I know
Him: so what’s the difference?
Me: lol, shruggy, that it’s based on Slackware instead of Debian? And it’s smaller (potentially capable of copy2ram, thus freeing the darned CDROM for more useful things)?
Him: i don’t think KDE can fit in your ram. it’s too bloated
Me: Hehe, maybe not. No idea. :P I can get the really really small slax and run off the usb stick too……. hrm. *thinkthinkthink*
Him: you want small? get damm small linux :P
Him: http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/
Me: lol
Me: It doesn’t have the cute factor…
Me: <– girl. sorry.

o_O WTF. My foodart is being hotlinked in someone’s MySpace

Should replace that with a sign that says, “Thou shalt ask before taking.”

Yesterday I got spammed majorly at jrnl. Woke up to 74 new comments, and more was coming in every minute (they were running through from the first entry to the last, I suppose). I renamed the file b2comments.post.php and mass-deleted the spam comments with phpMyAdmin.

Since then, I’ve gotten 170 hits to the nonexistent b2comments.post.php… which calculates to another 170 spam comments before it finally quit (if it even did quit, I have no idea, will check again tomorrow and see if the numbers of hits to that file increases). -_- But dude, these spammers are scary.

Always wanted to have a party at a castle?

*laughs*

Talk about taking it too far. XD But somehow, the idea of disco at a castle… um. :| Not that great an idea.

Staring out of the window, curtains pulled aside, patiently waiting for the sunrise.

For the first time in weeks.

Pirated software used to create help content in Microsoft’s Windows XP

Chicago (IL) - Members of a former software cracking group have discovered that audio files created with one of its cracked programs are distributed with each copy of the Windows XP operating system, possibly exposing Microsoft to a large-scale copyright infringement lawsuit.

The content in question can be found on every computer with Windows XP as operating system installed. Nine WAV audio files located in the folder “Help/Tours/WindowsMediaPlayer/Audio/Wav” in the Windows installation directory include a signature of “Deepz0ne", a member of former cracking group “Radium". If the files are opened not with an audio player, but with a HEX editor or simply in Windows’ own text editor Notepad, the last line displays as “000-04-06 IENG Deepz0ne ISFT Sound Forge 4.5″.

A source confirmed to Tom’s Hardware Guide, that the signature is “authentic for the cracked version of Sound Forge 4.5″ and relates to the cracker Deepz0ne. (more)

Hahahahahahahaha. Can we say, hypocrite?!

You know when you can’t change your bloody email to a new one when you don’t remember the old one? I don’t friggin’ remember all 50 (a rough guess, probably more by now) of my emails, and even if I do I’m not sure I want to plug them in one by one to find out which is the right now.

I thought a username and password combination is enough, but nooo, Tabulas wants you to give your old email too. If I bloody know my old email, I’d have just reactivated it instead of trying to change it.

Hell.

I am… so prone to careless mistakes. :(

Does anyone has a quick cure for headaches? This one comes with some kind of hypersensitivity to light and sound, and I don’t like it. I have homework to do. Blah.

I love how this site puts it:

It can be said with some certainty that Malaysian time is plus but never minus - i.e., expect things to generally start a little past their scheduled time, or people to get to an appointment just a teensy bit late.

How little and how teensy depend on many factors - mood and traffic among them. “Early” is for the birds, and worms are not on our list of favourite foodstuff around here anyway.

Fifteen minutes to half an hour is the generally accepted “plus factor” in calculating Malaysian time, although if it’s a Chinese wedding dinner then you can add another hour to that. In fact, it’s generally thought that the time stated on the wedding invitation is actually the time guests should leave their respective homes for wherever the dinner is being held.

Indeed, it can be concluded that we’re punctually late. Usually 30 minutes is the norm. *chuckles*

And we have the many applications of -lah. Did you ever think that one syllable can carry so many meanings (well, other than the groan, the grunt, and the… well, whatever else that makes no sense)?

Ah, Malaysia.

Don’t read if you’re politically-sensitive or just can’t take a joke. :)

.:Thursday, November 18, 2004

From this (I think I did this before, but I want to see how much I’ve changed over the year):

Thinks far with vision (not really). Easily influenced by kindness (true). Polite and soft-spoken (depends to who). Having lots of ideas (sometimes). Sensitive (er, not really). Active mind (sometimes). Hesitating, tends to delay (all the time). Choosy and always wants the best (this is why after 4 years, I still haven’t gotten a digital camera yet). Temperamental (obviously). Funny and humorous (I try). Loves to joke (around certain people). Good debating skills (long gone). Talkative (depends to who). Daydreamer (not by a long shot). Friendly (sometimes). Knows how to make friends (know, yes, do, maybe not). Abiding (most of the time). Able to show character (sometimes). Easily hurt (all the time, and scared shitless about it). Prone to getting colds (don’t say this when it’s snowing outside!). Loves to dress up (not). Easily bored (always). Fussy (yep!). Seldom shows emotions (look up “Easily hurt"). Takes time to recover when hurt (look up “Easily hurt” again). Brand conscious (not really, I’m advertising for Snail Originals at the moment, and I didn’t even choose my own clothes). Executive (huh? I got the job?). Stubborn (sometimes).

And yes, it’s snowing outside. I’m weirded out.

Here is an ADVANCED WARNING of Heavy Snow affecting Scotland, Northern Ireland, North West England, North East England, The Midlands, Wales and East Anglia AND Lincolnshire.

SOME FUCKER SET OFF THE FIRE ALARM AT THIS TIME OF THE NIGHT! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR…

If you want your nicotine, PLEASE go freeze your ass off outside while smoking. Don’t make the rest of us freeze, cause we’ll toast your ass then. It’s not OUR fucking fault that YOU’RE the one who is dying for a cigarette.

I’m so fucking pissed off.

Yeah, k, I’m done now and I’m going back to bed. WTF.

When Sookie first posted about this phone, I thought it looked horrid. Then I saw the real thing. Someone in my class was using it.

And was just like, whoa. That thing looks (surprisingly) really good in real life, and the photo on the site makes it look horrid. Usually it’s the other way around (photo looks better than real product) cause the photos used for marketing are airbrushed to perfection.

If I’d been looking for a phone, I might’ve gotten that one (oh, it comes free with an O2 monthly plan, but monthly plans are crazy unless you use your phone a lot). But luckily enough, I’m not. :P

*giggles* I’m not sure if this is funny or gross… I just saw it as someone’s LJ usericon.

I don’t follow American politics much, but nevertheless, I still love this. It’s damned hilarious. XD It was on hiatus for so long (11 months, I think!). And now it’s back!

Thanks to my Japanese hallmate, I just had one of these.

So cute (the pancake, that is!). XD

You are .html You are versatile and improving, but you do have your limits. When you work with amateurs it can get quite ugly.

To think that I thought I’d be a .txt since that’s what I work most with.
