Yet again, I know. I seem to have a habit of starting online things that don’t last.
At least I’ve still got this.

The (temporary?) fix:On September 6 a security vulnerability affecting all versions of Mozilla Firefox and the Mozilla Suite was reported to Mozilla by Tom Ferris and on September 8th was publicly disclosed.
On September 9, the Mozilla team released a configuration change which, as a temporary measure to work around this problem, disables IDN in the browser. IDN functionality will be restored in a future product update.
[source]1. Type about:config into the address field and hit Enter.
2. In the Filter toolbar, type network.enableIDN.
3. Right click on the the network.enableIDN item and select toggle to change value to false.
Brother #1: Dad and mum like sleeping too.
Brother #1: I once remember asking them for a home assigment to interview them.
Brother #1: What is your hobby? Sleep.
Brother #1: Seriously? Yup, sleep.
Brother #1: I need to write it in my book for teacher. Okay. Put… hmm… fishing.
I was talking to Will when the subject of Google Talk came up. I haven’t downloaded it yet, and I feel completely no inclination to download it because I already have Skype. Google isn’t really doing anything new or fresh with their Google Talk. It’s exactly like Skype from what I read, other than the integration with Gmail accounts, and the ability to connect with other clients (like Gaim, though you will have to forgo the voice call function).
For comparison’s sake:
Google Talk:
Skype:
I guess I’m biased. I love the speed of sending files through Skype. :P But Google, considering how they are always hiring the top programmers (or so they say?), should come up with something creative instead of the same old things everyone has done before.
My first exposure to English was through this series, Peter and Jane. Goes like the usual, “Peter has a dog named Pet.” Or the ultra-boring repetition, “Peter likes to play. Jane likes to play. Pet likes to play.” So boring that I only read it when Mom was looking, and when she isn’t, I steal my elder brothers’ books to read. I don’t get it though. Once you already know how to read and understand complete sentences made of more than ten words, why the heck was Mom will insistent on making me read sentences made of three almost-monosyllabic words?!
I think on some other parts of the world, it’s Dick and Jane. Or something like that. But whatever. All that to learn English.
The Guide to Life, The Universe and Everything. Granted, I prefer Wikipedia as my source of reference (it’s much more organised and less full of mindless crap). But if you’ve watched the movie and have no clue of the importance of a towel (and is resisting reading the book), time to get enlightened in Douglas Adams’ own words.
PS: A strag is a non-hitchhiker.
Hehe, if you want 10 free SkypeOut (Skype-to-phone) minutes, login to your account at skype.com today and click on the claim button. Offer only lasts today (probably for another 8 hours or so, some European time). :)
I showed Brother #2 this site. The following conversation ensued:
Roffle.Brother #2: I think you should stop reading this.
Me: Why?
Brother #2: It’s bad for you.
Me: It’s about some guy who’s talking about the weird things his girlfriend seem to get annoyed over.
Brother #2: Yes, but I get the feeling that you’re enjoying it too much and getting ideas from it.
Me: Oh, don’t worry about it, you’re my brother. You won’t suffer, unless I introduce your girlfriend to the site, that is.
Brother #2: [girlfriend’s name] is never going to visit that site.

Great. After that second meme, my life has taken a new direction. It can be summed up like this: I want to live a carefree life in a house in the suburbs close enough to a (clean) beach (not Port Dickson, okay?) that I can make the trip once a week and have pet cats while spending some time writing.
Complicated, isn’t it? But the point of that kind of life is to have it as uncomplicated as possible.
Something to work towards. Does anyone think I’ll achieve that, or is that a resounding no I’m hearing? Oh, and I haven’t even chosen my career path in that ideal life yet, but you know, that’s a variable, and I think at the moment I don’t really have a choice. ;)
I know I hadn’t plugged new layouts in a long, long time because it seemed to have been rendered pointless somewhere down the road when I only discover a “new” layout a month after it got launched, but I can’t resist this one, because it’s…
For anyone who has their own bar at home, this might be a good site. ;) Doesn’t this just sound yummy? Or this? Or this?
Haha, and this is the adult version of hot chocolate and marshmallows. Mmmmm.
Oh yes. My friend and I have already decided that we’re almost alcoholic gonnabes, except that alcohol is too expensive on our limited budget. :P
List of movies that has been banned from Malaysia. Looks like they got Sin City too. Guess we shouldn’t be too surprised?
The list isn’t 100% accurate though. I mean, wasn’t Spiderman and Spiderman 2 shown in the theatres? Or Thir13en Ghosts? Van Helsing? X-Men? X2? Okay, I didn’t watch any of those in the theatres, but I did watch Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in Golden Screen Cinema, so I don’t get it why it’s listed as banned. Huh.
I know the Malaysian censorship board does take it a bit far sometimes, but there are some movies that are shown… not in its entirety, but shown anyway. :P
Because Will brought up the fact that it is Duan Wu Jie (dammit, I want my zong zi! *hungry*) and then proceeded to say that it is on the 5th day of the 5th month of the Chinese lunar calendar…
Tadaa! A solar to lunar calendar converter. XD I suppose that means we get two birthdays… hee. Mine’s on the 28th of the 5th month, sooo… that means 23 days till I’m 22. Ouchies. Six days after turning 21 on the solar calendar too. Noooooooooooo. T_T
